GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Setup, repair and maintain production equipment in the shop and participate in production activities
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This employee is responsible for setup, maintenance and repair of production equipment in the electroforming department - tanks, power supplies, heaters, pumps, filters, rotators. Will be involved in electrical wiring, setting up electronic controllers - thermostats, PLC controllers, computer-driven metering pumps and power supplies. Will also participates in electroforming production activities when necessary.
MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Periodic maintenance of fixtures, rotators, maintenance, repair and replacement of current controllers, flow meters and various electrical and electronic devices in the department.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Education:
2 years of college education with a major in mechanical repairs, machining, electricity/electronics, etc. A firm grasp of math and physics, computer proficiency. Proficient in reading engineering drawings, use of micrometers, calipers, electrical and electronic instruments.
Experience:
At least 2 year hands-on experience in machining, electrical work, wiring or similar.
Personal Qualities:
Highly motivated, self-starter, creative in solving technical problems and disciplined in following established procedures. Mechanically adept, knows how to use a drill press, manual lathe, hand tools.
